PRAYERS “UNANSWERED”

Let me take you down memory lane
To that moment when you felt deserted
Betrayed and left to dry out in the sun
Then helplessness and broken-heartedness set in
Even frustration at times

But then… just then, at that particular moment
Something out of the blue happens; the unexpected occurs
A light appears at the end of the tunnel
Then hope floods in and your face lightens up
Relief emanates
There! That moment, captivating… when you even lose track of time
When time is of no relevance
A moment so miraculous, so joyous
Yes! That moment; the real miracle
Yet in the throes of excitement, it is easily overlooked
Due to its brief term of office
So brief that it seemed it never happened
Deep down within, it is what you have sought after
And you know it… Oh! How you know it
Yet, it was so unexpected to you, making your prayers seem unanswered
Your whole world brightens afterwards and yet you do not see what the LORD has done
What excuse then do you have to doubt the God who answers prayers?

Give Christ all the praise, for your unanswered prayers were actually answered ones
