False Brethren

To accuse others and call it criticism is very easy to do, since the society joins in the same parade to and fro. I’ve come across a number of people accuse and rain insults and curses on people generally considered to be false prophets. False prophets, false apostles and false teachers have gained the attention of every eye as if they’re the only “false gang” destroying our society with decadence.

There’s yet another infamous false clique I’d like us to see today: THE FALSE BRETHREN.

In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, inperils among false brethren (2 Corinthians 11:26)

And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage (Galatians 2:4)

This category unlike the false prophet, false apostles and false teachers are very numerous. They make up the pew. We’re surrounded by their presence always.

False brethren are wolves in sheep clothing, brood of vipers and foxes: they lie, steal, blaspheme, backbite and slander, hate and are given to jealousy, disobedient to parents, proud and arrogant, support evil as far it’ll save them, bribe and are full of corruption, rebellious, are given to betrayal,…………….the list is endless. False brethren profess their loyalty to you but undermine everything you stand for. They join various cults but still carry their Bibles to church. False brethren give their tithes and still dabble in witchcraft and sorcery. Actually they’re the first group of people to declare someone as false.

As children of Light we have to give ourselves to prayer and that which glorifies God. Many false brethren are in our midst, yet we run after unrefined preachers and prophets just to call them names and accuse them with falsehood.

Finally, if those we claim to be false are actually God-sent then we (false brethren clique) also deserve which ever punishment we ascribe to them.

Shall we pray….

Dear Jesus, please look upon me with mercy, and charge me not with the sin of accusing others. I denounce every falsehood on my tongue and in my heart. I refuse to be a false brethren from today and onwards. Thank you.
